Overview
South Korea's National Intelligence Service (NIS) purchased Hacking Team's Remote Control System (RCS) in 2012 and was found to have used it to surveil South Korean citizens.
The government also funded 'Smart Sheriff,' a monitoring app once mandated on minors' phones that included a built-in keylogger.
